The most special days of the year and one of my favourites. In Catalonia we celebrate the International World Book Day and SANT JORDI !! The legend of Sant Jordi is from long ago in Montblanc, about a knight who's name was Jordi. He defeated a dragon to save a princess and were the dragon lay a single rose grew, a rose which he then gave to the princess. It´s like Valentine's Day and the tradition is that the man gives a rose to his beloved and she gives a him a book although many times lovers exchange both things and people share roses/books with anyone they love, because ¿who doesn't like books and roses?

Also the atmosphere is very special, the streets are decorated with many many books and roses, even cultural activities, readings, exhibitions, concerts.. an inspiration for many artists! There are also "open door days" to emblematic buildings, 'Castellers' (human towers) and in Montblanc the Medieval Week! ¿Are you coming?
